In this episode of Liberty Dispatch Interviews, host Matthew Hallick welcomes Jonathan Wellum of Rocklinc Investment Partners to discuss Mark Carney’s 2021 book “Values: Building a Better World for All” and what it reveals about Carney’s worldview and policy agenda as Canada’s prime minister. Wellum outlines Carney’s background (Wall Street, Governor of the Bank of Canada, head of the Bank of England, Brookfield chairman, Liberal adviser) and summarizes the book’s structure and main arguements and they critique the book as anti–free market, rooted in autonomous secular assumptions, and leading to centralized control, urging Canadians to reject these ideas ahead of an election.

Key Points:
(1) Deliberately Manipulative equivocation between market value and human values.
(2) Carney defends fiat, fiduciary currency as superior to commodity-backed.
(3) State-of-fear manipulation: Carney, just like Klaus Schwab and the WEF, claims three recent “crises” (2008 financial crisis, COVID, climate) have made it necessary for greater government intervention into the economy and every aspect of people's lives.
(4) By What Standard? Carney speaks of “immutable values,” without a obejective standard for right and wrong. The standard thus becomes whatever the council (Soviet) of elite central planners decides.

CONCLUSION:
Mark Carney's book, “Values: Building a Better World for All, ”is a DANGEROUS TOTALITARIAN SNOOZER, and all of his "solutions" are centered on top-down “purposeful leadership” (totalitarian control), stakeholder capitalism (Fascist Corporatism with Marxist characteristics), ESG, SDGs, carbon pricing, and central bank digital currencies. (CBDC = state control of all financials).
